System Requirements for Real Player 10.5 (Windows system)

Minimum System Requirements:
  • 350MHz Intel Pentium II processor or equivalent
  • 64MB of RAM (128MB on Windows XP or later)
  • 52 MB available disk space
  • 28.8Kbps modem (audio only)
  • 65,000-color video display card set to display at 800x600 (video)
  • 16-bit sound card and speakers
  • Operating System (OS):
    • Microsoft Windows 98 SE
    • Windows ME
    • Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2 or later
    • Windows XP
    Note: At this time, RealPlayer 10.5 is not supported on Windows NT, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (the 64-bit OS), or Microsoft Windows Vista. If you need to install RealPlayer on Windows NT, you will need to download RealPlayer 10 from the Real Legacy Software Archive.
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 5.0 or later
    Note: Although some functions of the RealPlayer may work with Mozilla Firefox and Windows Server 2003 operating systems, neither is officially supported. Real Networks does not guarantee functionality with Mozilla Firefox or and Windows Server 2003 at this time.
Note: For playback of Windows Media and QuickTime, you must have Windows Media Player 6.0 or later and QuickTime 5.0 or later installed on your computer.

Recommended System Requirements:
  • 500MHz Intel Pentium III processor or greater (supports simultaneous record/playback features)
  • 128MB of RAM
  • High-speed Internet connection (audio/video)
  • Full Duplex sound card and speakers
  • 65,000-color video display card set to display at 800x600 or higher (video)
  • CD writer (for CD writing features)
  • 700+ MB available disk space for writing Media and MP3 CDs (not required for audio CDs)
  • DVD player and DVD playback software (for DVD playback)
  • Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2 or later, or Windows XP
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
  • Windows Media Player 9.0 or later
  • QuickTime 6.4 or later
  • If using Screen-Reader software: JAWS (v4.02 or greater recommended) or Window-Eyes (v4.21 or greater)

  • 700 MHz processor or equivalent
  • 256 MB of RAM memory
  • 60 MB available disk space
  • Super VGA (800 x 600, 65k color) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
  • 16-bit sound card and speakers
  • Operating System (OS):
    • Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or later
    • Windows Vista


Recommended System Requirements:
  • 1 GHz processor or greater (supports simultaneous record/playback features)
  • 512 MB of RAM memory, 1 GB with Vista or later
  • High-speed Internet connection (audio/video)
  • Full Duplex sound card and speakers
  • CD and DVD writer (for CD and DVD writing features)
  • 4+ GB available disk space for writing Media and MP3 DVDs and CDs
  • DVD player and DVD playback software (for DVD playback)
